Basic Policy on Sustainability

Materiality (Priority Issues)

Amid Japan’s rapidly aging society, the DAIICHIKOSHO Group believes “extending healthy life expectancy” and “enhancing quality of life (QOL)” for the elderly are its priority issues, in line with its Basic Policy on Sustainability. The Group is also earnestly working to solve environmental problems and various other issues faced by society through its business activities. We have built the following governance structure to support our efforts to tackle and solve social issues.

Sustainability Promotion System

The DAIICHIKOSHO Group has established a Sustainability Committee chaired by the President and Representative Director. The committee examines and deliberates on important matters and initiatives to address key issues related to sustainability, in accordance with the basic policy. The Sustainability Committee also updates the Board of Directors twice a year as part of a framework for monitoring the Group’s progress on sustainability. Going forward, the Group will disclose information appropriately to stakeholders and build a system to reflect feedback in efforts to promote sustainability.
